Crab Chowder

We came across some imitation crab meat in Aldi for $1.49 or $1.99.  Instant inspiration!!
I searched around and found something that I can do somewhat the same as.
4 cups chicken broth(bouillon will work)
1 1/2 cups half and half or heavy cream mixed with milk to taste
potato(s) to taste
1 small onion
1+ tbsp old bay or more or less
1/2 tsp thyme or so to taste
diced carrots to taste
black pepper to taste
corn to taste
Boil up the water for broth or warm up the broth in a large enough pot to easily double it.  Add in the potato and diced onion.  I used a fry cutter to cube up the potato and dice up the onion.  When the potatoes are done, add in the carrots, old bay, thyme, pepper, and corn.
Allow all to cook for a while.  After that has cooked, add the cream and cook on low for about an hour.  Do not allow to boil.
