Breaded and fried meats

I decided to try something a little different.  I used the same basic recipe from previous with some Beef sliced a little over 1/4″ thick.  It should have been thinner.  Play around a little.  What I did differently this time however, was to use the breading from a General Tsao’s chicken recipe I found somewhere.
1 Egg
1 cup Corn starch
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp white pepper
Marinade sliced meat in recipe from above.  The longer the better.
Heat a pot of oil about 1/2″ deep. Medium heat.  Roughly what you would cook beef on a stovetop.
Beat the egg in a bowl big enough to hold all the meat.  Add the salt, sugar, and white pepper.  While mixing, by hand, add corn starch until it becomes rather sticky.
Drop in meat 1 slice at a time into oil and cook for 2-3 minutes.  Pull out and drain on a paper towel.  Its going to take a few times to get it all, if you run out of room after the chunks have been cooked, chuck em in another bowl.  They are done when the breading is a nice golden brown.  If you have to, cook em again.
p.s. They may remind you of Pei Wei’s beef for their Pei Wei spicy texture-wise.
p.s.s. I would love to credit the originator of the General Tsao’s chicken, but, I couldn’t find the recipe outside of the app Big Oven(awesome app by the way).
